It was a historic evening for Sportsters Falkirk last week as they claimed the first ever Platinum Award at the Best Bar None Scotland 2016-17 National Awards. The status award was introduced for the first time this year and was presented to Sportsters as part of their continued excellence.
Daniel McCue, General Manager of Sportsters, said “We are delighted to have received this award. We as a team have worked hard for a number of years now with Best Bar None (BBN) to provide the best customer experience possible. To have that work and dedication recognised with such an award is a great privilege for us.”
Chris McGovern, Sales Manager of Chivas Brothers-Pernod Ricard who supported the award, said “The venues strike a really positive balance between their Social Responsibility and Conviviality which is key to the success of their businesses.”
Sportsters was also a finalist in the Best Bar and Innovation in Social Responsibility categories, but unfortunately didn’t walk away as winners.
“We would have loved to have won these awards, but we’re delighted to have been finalists” said Daniel. “To be finalists in two categories and to come away as winners of the first ever Platinum award is a fantastic achievement. We’re delighted.”
It also may not be the last award that Sportsters’ collects this year. They are a finalist for Best Sports Bar at the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards which is held next month and this follows on from the Social Responsibility Award won at the 2016 SLTN Awards.
“To have won and be up for so many awards is fantastic and we’re proud of the work we’re doing for the community and our customers” said Daniel. “We’ll aim to continue the work we’ve done so far and to continue pushing ourselves to the highest level possible.”
